Of course it was fecking raining the whole time I was there. I thought they started at 9.30pm and got to the middle of Mass Ave bridge at the 200 smoot mark at 9.15. They didn’t start till 10.30pm …

Went to The Cantab Lounge in Central Sq in Cambridge on Friday night. Frank the chef (or one of the chefs?) from Tim’s Tavern, long closed, on Columbus Ave in Boston now cooks at The Cantab. Tim’s did a really good burger and that’s what we had at the Cantab, a really good big tasty [...]
Ruby
Went to the Boston Ruby Group’s monthly meeting last night. Walked over Mass Ave bridge (how many Smoots?) and there was a really amazing sunset. Big gray clouds with these holes that the sun was blazing through. This photo taken with my phone doesn’t really do it justice:

Sunset
Sunset over the Charles River about a month ago, and what feels like a zillion degrees! The day I took that pic it was as warm as a nice spring day, today it’s Artic cold.
I wish it were that warm now, almost 11pm and it’s 16F or -9C and I gotta walk the dogs … [...]
