Frank the chef (or one of the chefs?) from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/7b7tGtDm8NrW1YImOPCrYg?hrid=-_TRPMoK_tIwEtWSDTahFA\">Tim&#8217;s Tavern<\/a>, long closed, on Columbus Ave in Boston now cooks at The Cantab. Tim&#8217;s did a really good burger and that&#8217;s what we had at the Cantab, a really good big tasty burger for $5.95. The chips (fries for all your Amerikans) were kinda lame, but the burger was really tasty and big! <\/p>\n<p>Ended up staying for the music, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shirleylewis.biz\/\">Shirley Lewis <\/a>and the Fatback Band.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/timony\/458343601\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/179\/458343601_a740561197_t.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" alt=\"The Cantab\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Shirly is 70 and she does rock the house. She&#8217;s a good singer and really knows how to pump the audience, might go back next weekend and hear her sing again!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/timony\/458309746\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/253\/458309746_6968983e22_t.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" alt=\"Shirley Lewis &amp; The Fat Back Band @ The Cantab\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think the band are a bunch of regulars who play most weekends with different singers, they&#8217;re good too. And worth hearing by themeselves.
